Context
As Design Manager at Sport Chek, I led the creation of a heritage-inspired winter boot collection designed to resonate with Canadian customers—boots that look great, fit exceptionally, and perform in the toughest winters. The collection balances rugged durability with lightweight flexibility, featuring ICE-FX technology for superior traction on ice, while also considering repairability as part of a long-term vision linked to the apparel repair program. These boots are intended to become the backbone of the winter apparel line, beloved year after year, and extend their design principles to a new generation of kids’ winter footwear, including a lightweight EVA shell Pak boot with ICE-FX technology and a removable felt liner for easy drying—bringing performance, style, and versatility to the whole family.
