Jeff Churchill is the shoemaker behind Jitterbug Boy, a studio that makes custom-made footwear for blockbuster films and stages worldwide. I apprenticed under Jeff and worked in his studio as a shoemaker. This is where I learned to stitch, build prototypes, and hand-last footwear. The projects that come through his studio are driven by the needs of professional dancers and stunt people in extreme situations. The shoes must look one way on the outside but function like high performance-athletic shoes on the inside.
